You get a 2-hr street photography preparation online workshop AND 2.5-day street photography on-location masterclass with me and a small squad of 6 street photographers serious about having fun taking their photography to the next level

This masterclass was something very special for me. The decision to sign up for it felt like the right next step. And it's also perfect for you if you love weekenders and are looking for a booster for your photographic development. The biggest difference and benefit to a "normal" weekender is that we all went home with edited series in the bag (but of course we are still working on it) and very clear ideas of more series in the making. More commitment was required in advance and a reflection on our own work in order to be able to build on it. For me it was quite a challenging experience, not because of Polly - she was great, helpful, a little bossy and very funny as always - but because I unconsciously took a different direction in my photogaphy than I expected. I learnt a lot about myself through reflection and collaboration with the others. I will benefit from this for a long time to come. And I had just as much fun with Polly and the other participants as on other Weekenders. It's great to work together in different constellations when editing, you get to know each other better and learn new perspectives and methods. A great class, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I recently attended a Street Photography Masterclass in Istanbul, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! 🤩 Led by Polly, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also excellent at cracking dad (or mum) jokes, the workshop provided a significant boost to my confidence in doing street photography. The Masterclass was well-structured, starting with a brief introduction and project setting, followed by hands-on practice in the streets of Istanbul and peer review and editing. Polly's approach made the process both effective, relaxed and very enjoyable. One of the biggest gains from this experience was a substantial boost in my confidence as a photographer. Polly's constructive criticism and encouragement helped me push my boundaries. I also learned how to better observe my surroundings and take shots that follow a pattern or have things in common. The highlight of the Masterclass was the opportunity to explore Istanbul through the lens of street photography and to shoot a series. The city is a vibrant, dynamic place with so much to offer. Polly’s recommendations regarding locations and areas made it easier and helped us familiarise ourselves with the city quickly. Plus, her sense of humour added a fun and relaxed vibe to the whole weekend. We all crossed that (Galata) bridge when we got to it... Overall, the Masterclass was a great experience, like Polly's Photography Weekenders but with a couple of extra added bonuses: helping us deliver and accomplish our very own project and gaining confidence in doing so. If you're considering a street photography workshop, I can't recommend this Masterclass enough. The value you get out of it is absolutely worth it. You'll come away with better photos, heightened confidence, and great memories!💪🙌
